PROJECT ENGINEER

At a Glance:

Midas Construction is seeking a high-energy and detail-oriented Project Engineer to join our team. This position will facilitate projects and be instrumental in the company's continued growth and success. This position will be based in St. Louis, MO.

 

What You Will Be Doing:

The Project Engineer supports the Field Project Team. Performs routine daily activities and assists in gathering and distributing information to team members. Possesses strong written and verbal communications skills and manages time effectively.  This position assists in managing the financial aspects of projects to protect Company's interest, and maintain a positive, trusting relationship with Client, and proactively seeks profit opportunities on each project. 

  • Implement and reinforce field safety and reporting.
  • Prepare, review and distribute RFIs in Procore.
  • Prepare, review, and distribute Submittals in Procore.
  • Maintain job files and as-builts.
  • Maintain thorough understanding of contract documents and subcontracts.
  • Daily/Weekly project photos uploaded in Procore.
  • Inspect/verify material
  • Assist Project Coordinator to manage project closeout and obtain all warranties required for final
  • Assist in project logistics and deliveries.
  • Maintain punch list with Superintendent/Assistant Superintendent.
  • Review drawings and specifications; have a thorough understanding of the scope of work.
  • Develop estimate RFI's and/or clarifications to ensure adequate coverage.
  • Develop and deliver job progress reports
  • Knowledgeable in construction means and methods
  • Strong interpersonal skills, able to build relationships and communicate effectively at all levels
  • Excellent verbal, written communication and presentation skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Project and Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Time management and organizational skills.
  • Positive attitude
  • Strong computer skills
  • Other duties assigned

 

 The Ideal Candidate:

  • Three plus years of Project Management experience.
  • Related degree preferred.
  • Equivalent combination of education or experience will be considered.
  • Experience with Hospitality projects a plus.
